About Our ClientOur client is a prominent organization with a diverse portfolio of restaurants, they have engaged us to find an experienced Vice President of Construction to join their highly talents leadership team.
Job DescriptionProvide strategic leadership for new builds, renovations, and upgrade projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and upholding brand integrity.
Oversee all aspects of project management including budget feasibility, schedule adherence, design coordination, contract negotiations, procurement, risk assessment, and value engineering.
Ensure timely project completion within budget constraints, managing capital budgets and fostering interdepartmental communication.Drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among team members.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business units to achieve project objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, overseeing recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Interface with Executive Management and Legal Counsel as necessary, overseeing contract negotiations and enforcing milestone dates and obligations.
Manage negotiations with municipalities and relevant authorities, coordinating permit applications.
Cultivate relationships with development partners.
Develop overall development budgets in collaboration with the Executive team, presenting for approval by senior leadership.
Assist in the development of design programs for new developments in alignment with organizational goals.

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
PMP certification preferred.
Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial construction leadership roles.
Proficiency in construction and business software.
Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills.
Experience in contract negotiation and administration.
Ability to exert personal leadership through influence.
Proven track record in building successful partnerships and engaging diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of investment and finance principles.
Demonstrated sense of urgency and team collaboration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to travel across Canada.
Self-motivated with experience managing complex projects autonomously.
Extensive knowledge of construction, both in renovations and new builds.
Previous site management experience.
