Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Human Resources to join our team. In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic guidance in all areas of human resources management.

Reporting to BLS's President and serving as a member of the BLS's Senior Leadership Team, you will develop and implement HR operations, policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company's goals and values.

Specific focus will be on expanding robust talent acquisition capabilities, enhanced HR operations, leading employee engagement, and ensuring competitive compensation and benefits.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage other HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship, to ensure the delivery of highquality HR services and support to the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective HR strategies and programs, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee development, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Drive internal communication initiatives to foster cohesion and engagement across the organization
  • Collaborate with key internal and external partners to create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Provides daytoday performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Maintains indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Manage compensation and benefits planning and implementation, and the annual performance review process
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to address any HRrelated issues or gaps.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to human resources management, and recommend relevant updates to policies and practices.
  • Oversee the HR budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.

Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of people operations, including compensation, benefits, HRIS and performance management processes.
  • Ability to issue spot matters that may be related to local employment and labor laws.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing HR initiatives, programs, and teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make datadriven decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable. Must possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work with moderate supervision.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred, but not required
