**Description**
Summary:
The Training Design and Delivery Specialist is responsible for the development and revision of training content by using appropriate instructional design methods to support and drive enterprise-wide training and performance development efforts through blended learning and development solutions.
This position also p rimarily supports commercial and consumer Sales in the effective communication and training of new hire or current information, changing operational procedures, changing industry information and skills/talent development.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Level I:
Designs training using a variety of modalities (e.g., instructor-led classroom and webinar, self-paced e-learning, self-paced paper, etc.) depending on the needs of the business
Applies basic instructional design concepts and training techniques to include e-learning
Works closely with key stakeholders to develop and create course content, teaching and learning activities and supporting materials based on the understanding, articulation and implementation of best practices in curriculum development
Applies instructional design and delivery best practices to provide educational opportunities to external brokers
Partners with stakeholders throughout the company to understand their ongoing needs, directing future projects
Ties course learning objectives and goals to business objectives
Analyzes tasks, jobs, and target audience requirements and conducts training need analyses to inform instructional design and modalities
Incorporates multimedia instructional content
Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to evaluate and refine existing learning and development programs to ensure the delivery of training is thoroughly prepared and updated
Collaborates with stakeholders to create effective/engaging online learning experiences
Leads and/or assists in special projects related to company-wide learning and development as necessary .
Creates job aids, workbooks and other supporting documentation to reinforce concepts in taught in training programs
Schedules and manages training meetings and logistics (on and off site), including continuing education classes for all users within Marketing and Sales who hold a license

Level II (in addition to Level I essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
Independently manages and prioritizes a larger volume of work
Acts as an established subject matter expert on multiple instructional design and delivery principles and adult learning styles, and is able to identify when to use what methodologies and modalities
Acts upon assessment results, feedback and findings to gain greater impact, efficiency and return on investment for future training solutions
Consistently researches best practices in instructional design and training delivery, and brings new and innovative ideas to the Learning and Development team
Is able to develop blended learning solutions for Sales roles, including guiding a social learning experience through the use of technology
Level III (in addition to Level II essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
Partners with Sales staff to attend external stakeholder meetings to better understand broker and group needs as they relate to training.
Onboards and mentors new hire staff within the Sales Training team.
Leads projects and initiatives that include multiple divisions and significant visibility across the organization. Relies on significant experience and judgment to plan and interact with key stakeholders; A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Anticipates how the industry and corporate changes may affect sales job functions, procedures and best practices and works to identify new processes to support changes.
May represent the training department in Health Plan committee meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
NOTE:

All Levels:
Bachelors Degree in related field. In lieu of degree, 4-5 years experience in related field.
Minimum of three years of Training Development and Delivery experience .
Must have strong Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to demonstrate proficient project management skills
Ability to strategize, communicate, make decisions and work well on teams
Must demonstrate a clear understanding of learning management systems and how to manage learner transcripts to assist leaders with coaching opportunities and identify gaps in knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to effectively manage complex projects, taking initiative to achieve outcomes
Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
Organizational and active listening skills
Strong presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills
Authoring tool knowledge with tools such as Adobe Captivate and Camtasia
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
Must be willing to travel as necessary
Level II (in addition to Level I minimum qualifications):
Minimum of five years of sales, training and/or development experience, with advanced platform and coaching skills.
Comfortable navigating and influencing strong personalities within a complex business landscape
Demonstrated experience collaborating across a matrixed organization
Level III (in addition to Level II minimum qualifications):
Minimum of seven years of sales, training and/or development experience, with advanced platform and coaching skills.
R egarded as a subject matter expert (SME) in Systems and Sales processes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel across company regions.
