Department Head (m/f/d) Road Construction:


The city of Landshut is currently seeking a full-time
Department Head (m/f/d) for
Road Construction at the Department of Civil Engineering.

The position is classified in pay grade A 11 or equivalent according to the collective agreement for public service (TVöD).


Main responsibilities include:


  • Management and further development of the department for the construction of traffic facilities in close cooperation with the department head of the Department of Civil Engineering
  • Responsible handling of primarily road construction and road renovation projects
  • Supervision and management of the department's employees (m/f/d) as well as capacity and resource planning, potentially involving external engineering service providers
  • Awarding of planning and construction contracts in accordance with the fee and procurement regulations (HOAI, VOB, VgV), as well as preparation of tender documents for review and approval
  • Goaloriented collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, relevant authorities, and contracted engineering firms and construction service providers
  • Handling of financial and subsidy matters related to projects
  • Development of infrastructure plans, conducting feasibility studies including cost estimates
  • Processing of inquiries and other matters from municipal committees, media, and citizens

Requirements:


  • Successfully completed university degree in civil engineering (diploma, bachelor's, master's or equivalent), preferably with a focus on road construction
  • Indepth knowledge of construction, technical regulations, procurement regulations, fee regulations, and relevant professional
