    This pool expires 05/31/2024. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2024, must reapply at that time.


    Position Summary:
    This hiring pool is for temporary full or part time positions in the Department of Accounting.

    The Accounting program delivers traditional on-campus as well as online courses in accounting such as: financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, tax, valuation, information systems, ethics, non-profit accounting, oil and gas accounting, forensics & fraud, data analytics, among others.

    The Kenneth W. Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado is recognized for delivering excellence in business education.

    It is the first and only business program to receive the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award from the Office of the President of the United States Only the top business schools in the U.S.

    are accredited by AACSB International. The Monfort College of Business is among the elite number of schools accredited in both business administration and accounting.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    To be considered an applicant must satisfy one or more of the following criteria:


    Holds an earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution related to the primary teaching field (or be ABD with prospect for timely completion).

    Master's degree from an AACSB accredited institution and CPA with relevant work and/or teaching experience.

    MS Tax, CPA, and relevant work/teaching experience for faculty teaching tax.

    JD with relevant work and/or teaching experience.


    Holds a doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited institution outside of the field in which they are teaching and has completed the equivalent of 15 hours of graduate-level coursework in the teaching field or has other appropriate and extensive experience or intellectual contributions related to the primary teaching field.


    Holds a master's degree from an AACSB accredited institution outside of the field in which they are teaching and has completed the equivalent of 15 hours of graduate-level coursework in the teaching field or has other appropriate and extensive experience or intellectual contributions related to the primary teaching field.

    Employees at UNC receive sick leave, and other leave options may be available based on position.

    Full-time employees are eligible to receive tuition waiver benefits, as well as dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed at 0.5 FTE or above are eligible for undergraduate dependent tuition grants of up to 50%.

    These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.

    Background Check


    Satisfactory completion of a background check, educational check, and authorization to work in the United States is required after a conditional offer of employment has been made.

    The successful candidate must submit original transcripts within one (1) month of hire.


    This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
