    Description

    Official Job Title: Billing Accounts Auditor

    Duties:

    Coordinate with Customer Support Staff with billing related items, payment management, and conflict resolution of all insurance claims through the Monday platform.

    Run insurance reports, organize claims data, and produce billing audits for account reconciliations and outstanding balance management.

    Work on billing audits for account reconciliations, create and track Mondays, and update Benefits Coordinator or CRS as needed to ensure accurate coordination of benefits with clients and collections as needed.

    Use info from insurance audits and Mondays to accurately manage and update Simple Practice client profiles to ensure accurate accounting.

    Access provider portals, review EOBs, and make calls to insurance representatives in order to determine billing discrepancies, process claims denials, and resolve issues recovering payment or coordinating benefits.

    Communicate and explain status of billing issues and benefit coordination results to supervisors and Benefits Coordinator or support staff as needed.

    Complete any additional tasks within reason related to the practices insurance and billing operations.

    Requirements:

    Be able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment.

    Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks accordingly.

    Flexibility to learn new operations and adjust to ever changing insurance billing requirements.

    Able to operate a computer and phone with access to adequate internet and tools required to complete tasks.

    Proficiency in Simple Practice and standard Microsoft Suite tools, specifically Microsoft Excel and the ability to build, read, and utilize data spreadsheets.

    Insurance billing and benefits verification experience preferred.

    Experience working with EHR systems, Slack, Monday, FreshDesk, and related platforms preferred.
