    Your duties at a glance

    As an employee working within the , you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon's most vulnerable children and families. Your dedication will help us achieve the Child Welfare that will support children and young adults to be safer, healthier, experience less trauma and achieve a greater well-being.

    As a Case Management Coordinator, you will:

    • Assist caseworkers with collection of case documents and open, transfer and close cases for assigned unit.
    • Prepare packets for Permanency/Adoption Committees.
    • Collect, copy, distribute, scan, and track documents/information to be disclosed upon request or as part of discovery in court related matters.
    • Update all case information, perform vital records requests, birth searches, school information, and immunization information.
    • Process adoption assistance memos from Central Office, verify monthly buss pass requests, complete funding requests, and process petitions.
    • Prepare and maintain the current desk manual.
    • Provide basic unit backup support to other Case Management Coordinators, Reception, and provide court shuttle backup.
    • Complete extensive searches to include data entry and researching provider payment questions ODHS computer systems.
    • Schedule Meetings in for workers/cases, attend meetings and complete trainings as assigned by supervisor.

    What you need to qualify

    Two (2) years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR

    An associate degree in any field; OR

    An equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience multi-tasking and applying organizational skills.
    • Experience prioritizing work and paying close attention to details.
    • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer (or other web browser), and other computer applications.
    • Experience handling and maintaining confidential information.
    • Experience explaining rules and procedures to a wide variety of people.
    • Experience using customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations.
    • Experience working both independently and cohesively with a team.
    • Experience working with a wide variety of people in a respectful and compassionate manner.

    Working conditions

    • Your work will be conducted in an office setting and in the community. This is NOT a remote position.
    • You will have required travel for day-to-day work in the community. You may also have required travel for the purpose of attending trainings.
    • Your hours of work may fluctuate based on service needs. Occasional compensated overtime may be required, including evening and weekend work.
    • You may interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.
    • You may walk into stressful situations that require quick decision-making skills to ensure safety of those being serviced and your own physical safety. This may also be trauma inducing.
