    About This Role:

    The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for providing specialized, administrative support for the recruitment and onboarding of prospective hospital staff. This engaging position will also play an active role in the management of all personnel and staffing processes, as well as, ensuring smooth office operations on a daily basis. Excellent communication and organization skills will be key to succeeding in this multifaceted role.

    What You'll Need to Succeed:

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to operate a personal computer.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of administration; including organization, time management, adaptability, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of diverse human behavior in organizations and appropriate management techniques that foster teamwork, creativity, and problem solving.
  • Understanding of basic onboarding and recruitment practices.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to contribute to the development and cohesion of a work team.
  • Other Requirements:
