- Collaborate with Project Management and Solutions teams to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies that align with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct research and identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all necessary information.
- Manage supplier relationships effectively, this to include supplier performance management and resolution of discrepancies regarding invoicing, purchase orders, deliveries, communication, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchasing activities, including supplier information, contracts, and pricing agreements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely support and guidance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through effective negotiation, alternative sourcing, or process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. More experience is a plus.
- Experience with Indirect Procurement is a plus.
- Create various excel/access reports to provide detailed supplier and spend analysis information.
- Excellent communication skills and be comfortable talking to all kinds of people inside and outside the organization.
- Individual is not afraid of distilling complex business data into information that is actionable and meaningful.
