    Job Description

    Counselor Supervisor

    The Counselor Supervisor will oversee the Counselors and Counselor Interns responsible for providing treatment and casework services to individuals in line with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. The clinical supervisor will ensure prompt documentation of patient services as per the care plan. They will identify the diverse needs of assigned patients including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects. Additionally, the supervisor will manage related expenses responsibly within the company's budget.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assign caseloads to counselors and adjust when needed
    • Direct and supervise intake operations
    • Review intake assessments for quality
    • Lead pre-admission decisions, case reviews, and counseling meetings to guarantee services are delivered per policies and regulations
    • Conduct quality assurance checks on patient files
    • Ensure efficient delivery of counseling services to all patients
    • Handle counseling caseload
    • Provide direct supervision to clinicians and participate in staff supervision through meetings, trainings, speakers, and literature reviews
    • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Federal and State Regulations for NTP clinics
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

    • Required Licensure - Current New Mexico Board licensure as an independently licensed clinician and supervisor: LISW/LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPAT, psychologist, psychiatrist, and LADAC for substance use disorder (SUD) only.
    • Previous experience working with individuals struggling with substance dependence
    • Must exhibit a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude towards the patient population
    • Clear criminal background check & drug screening
