    Description
    Ledgent is partnering with one of their top clients in the Mid-County area of San Diego. They are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to become a part of a growing and talented Payroll team. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with excellent perks and benefits They offer a ONSITE work schedule. For more details, please respond with your resume and contact details.

    Pay Scale:
    $25-$31 / hour DOE

    __________________________

    Duties include (But not limited to):

    Manage the processing of semi-monthly, multi-state and multi-company payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes, consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws

    Complete the processing of corporate new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely

    Direct audits and/or audit payroll as required, including audits for off-the clock work, meal break violations, pay practices and payroll controls

    Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning payroll

    Communicate actively with Operations, HR, Finance and Accounting to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing

    Reconcile payroll reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)

    Ensure payroll and tax discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner

    Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by being knowledgeable of existing and new legislation, ensuring adherence to requirements and advising facility management on needed actions

    Requirements:

    2 + years working with in-house payroll processing for 100+ employee organization

    SAGE payroll system or any other major Payroll system usage is ok

    Strong Excel experience and skills

    Degree in HR or Accounting preferred

    CPP preferred

    HRIS experience is a plus
