    We currently have an opening for a Structural Engineer in our Brookfield, WI location.

    This position, either individually or as part of a team, is responsible for the overall design and coordination of structural building related projects from inception through completion of construction.

    A motivated individual in this position will be able to pursue numerous career paths within the realm of structural engineering consulting.


    Structural Engineer – Buildings - Responsibilities:
    Organize and execute structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects
    Design and layout structural engineering drawings for assigned projects/work assignments including the preparation of plans, schedules and details
    Design structural systems of cast-in-place and precast concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use and institutional buildings
    Prepare structural calculations for submittal to regulating authority
    Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals
    Perform construction site observation visits and prepare reports of site visits completed
    The candidate hired may be eligible for a significant signing bonus.

    Requirements:

    Structural Engineer – Buildings - Skills and Requirements:


    Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering and five to seven years of experience in the structural design of building projects.

    A Master of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is a plus
    Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
    Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System
    Working knowledge of AutoDesk Revit
    Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
    Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices associated with design/bid/build, design/build and construction manager roles and responsibilities
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently
