    Job DescriptionDescription:

    raSmith currently has an opening for a Structural Engineer at our Brookfield office.

    Structural Engineer – Buildings - Hybrid, Remote Possible - Responsibilities:

    • Perform structural design of various building projects. This includes development of design documents, calculations, specifications, and construction administration
    • Design structural systems of cast-in-place and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing for a variety of healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use and institutional buildings

    The candidate hired may be eligible for a significant signing bonus.

    Requirements:

    Structural Engineer – Buildings - Hybrid, Remote Possible - Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering is required, Masters of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred
    • Five (5) plus years of structural design experience including various building systems and materials
    • Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
    • Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System. Revit experience is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently
