    Do you enjoy working 2nd shift but want to have Friday night off? We are currently looking for a 2nd shift machinist and offer competitive differentiation. The hours are Monday – Thursday 2:45 pm to 12:00 am and Friday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Setting up and operating a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and surface grinders
    • Produce complex machined components in support of production, some engineering, R & D and customer prototyping of new products as well as for fabrication of production tooling and modifications or repair to existing tooling
    • Inspecting completed material utilizing hand inspection equipment, such as vernier calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, and drop dial indicators
    • Operate machine tools with conversational programmable CNC controls such as the Prototrak control
    • Set up and operate all equipment, including the CNC machines, vertical mill, saw, and other machines, creating parts as the production plan requires
    • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
    • Perform all production tasks as required, including fabrication, assembly, programming and machine operation
    • Maintain quality standards, process parameters, and other indicators to ensure that all components and finished products conform to quality standards

    Requirements:

    • Must have attention to detail and strong personal initiative
    • Ability to read and understand blueprints
    • Be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or two to five years related experience and/or education in Machining Technologies required
