    Description


    CNC Operator Responsibilities Operate several CNC machines, loading bars of material, monitoring operation & taking measurements, while making quality parts, safely as part of a team.

    Maintain quality assurance procedures and processes, performing quality audits Maintain equipment and supplies Maintain product specifications by observing machining operations, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls, replacing worn tools Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and housekeeping Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions Job requirements:

    Minimum of five years in CNC machining Familiarity with blue prints Basic math skills, including decimals and ability to convert between inches and metric measurements.

    Algebra and geometry are a plus Knowledge of metals and materials, including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and copper, and their machine-ability and ability to use measuring equipment (micrometers, Dial or Digital Calipers, Optical comparator) Demonstrated initiative and improvement mindset a must; Familiarity with quality concepts, such as in-process auditing and lean manufacturing Proven track record of reliability, dependability, maturity, attention to detail, and ability to learn is key as we will be providing comprehensive training on CNC machining.

    This position has the opportunity to fill a Team Leader role with a higher hourly wage.

    Team Leader Responsibilities Foster & promote a constructive team environment, working 1:1 with employees Coordinate with first shift, sales and supervisor to understand priorities, assign operators to machine and monitor progress during shift Ensure audits and logsheets are completed and adequate information for the next shift Assist with audits and part counts to ensure maximum productivity on the shift Monitor training progress and communicate with management on training opportunities as well as any disciplinary issues Assign work if machines go down, ensure work areas are clean and tidy Physically pack and prepare product for shipment Ensure that facility is shut down and locked properly at the end of shift 2nd Shift hours: 3:15pm - 1:45am Monday - Thursday
