Purchasing Coordinator

We have an opening for a Purchasing Coordinator in Salem, OH for a 6-month to 1-year contract assignment, with the opportunity to turn into a permanent role.

In this position, you will support the Procurement Department by purchasing both direct and indirect materials, purchased services, and preparing scrap and production reports.

You will also provide support and cross-train in other areas of the production process including scheduling, standard costs, and engineering.

Shift: 1st Shift:
Monday – Friday

Pay:
$25.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and Maintain Inventory, Maintenance and CapEx Purchase Reqs/PO's in SAP or ARIBA.
Manage inventories and track deliveries as required.
Coordination of production material receiving with Production Planners
Follow-up with internal and external personnel to correct quality and price discrepancies.
Invoice verification and problem resolution research with Accounts Payable.
Filing for documents relating to purchasing, receiving and production.
Forecast raw material usage.
Prepare inventories and participate in annual physical inventories of FG, RM and WIP.
Assist in tracking and analyzing CAPEX spending.
Perform and analyze cycle counts transactions of inventory.
Develop and maintain key relationships with all levels of management/associates.

Qualification and Requirements:
2 years of related Purchasing experience required.
Computer oriented – SAP and related Finance system experience required.
Excellent personal computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Conscientious, trustworthy with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to multi-task and produce quality results within a fast-paced environment.
