To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a commercial employee for our purchasing department (m/f/d) at our location in Lake Carroll, IL.

The SZW Prophet GmbH is a medium-sized, family-owned company specialized in the production of wire and cable controls.

In addition to our main focus on the automotive industry, our products are also used in municipal and material handling vehicles, furniture and lighting industry, medical and rehabilitation products, as well as in the agricultural sector.

Every year, we produce over 17 million wire and cable controls of various designs and complexities.


Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of necessary components (such as metal, plastic, packaging, etc.) in demandoriented batch sizes at competitive prices from qualityassured suppliers
  • Ensuring a stable supply chain by reviewing article dispositions, independently placing orders, and verifying order confirmations
  • Conducting supplier comparisons and price negotiations
  • Supplier search and development
  • Planning and conducting inventories

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel, ideally also with experience in working with an ERP system
  • Previous experience in purchasing is an advantage
  • Good written and verbal English skills are desirable
  • Team player with good communication skills
