    Position Overview:


    The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for accurately tracking the quantity and location of all goods in the Distribution Center.

    This position is responsible for maintaining proper and accurate inventory information for the Distribution Center.
    Responsibilities

    • Develop and support a team-oriented environment.
    • Reconciling goods received and delivered on a daily and weekly basis.
    • Cycle Counting of merchandise and goods in the warehouse.
    • Processing of damaged goods and merchandise.
    • Assigning primary locations for goods and merchandise for product placement.
    • Assist production planning team with next days product and merchandise flow.
    • Break primary locations daily to assist with next days inbound production.
    • Research SKUs to assist accounting department with weekly bill payment.
    • Create daily projects for letdown/put away team.
    • Run reports that track quantities versus length of time product has been in DC.
    • Coordinate with Buyers as needed to ensure proper product flow.
    • Assist Inventory Control Manager with any projects that develop to assist in daily production.
    • Billing/crediting stores for goods.
    • Ensure department level compliance with key company standards of safety and facility maintenance.
    • Proactively establish and carry out shrinkage control disciplines and programs.
    • Ensure an orderly and neatly maintained area.
    • Effectively communicate with other Supervisors and Managers in the Distribution Center to ensure coordination of other warehouse activities.
    • Complete all internal reporting processes timely and accurately.
    • Supervisory responsibility for Inventory Control Associates at Distribution Center.
    • Interviews, selects and trains Associates. Associate coaching, counseling and progressive discipline up to and
    • Including termination as appropriate.
    • Accurately maintains Associates hours in time keeping system (Kronos).
    • Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise.

    Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Higher education, including two and four year degrees related to business management preferred, but not required.
    • One to two years experience in a Supervisory role in a mid-size to large distribution center, or demonstration of skills and learning through an internal development program and selection process.
    • Possess the ability to effectively manage in a professional work environment.
    • Knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Office products.
    • The ability to exercise sound judgment.
    • Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions.
    • The ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates within company standards.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend and twist frequently.
    • Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
    • Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
    • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
