Warehouse Customer Service Supervisor at a Japanese Logistics company in Torrance, CA.

*Job Type: Full-Time

*Job Title: Warehouse Customer Service Supervisor

*Office: Torrance, CA

*Salary: $60K~$70K / year (Non Exempt)

*Time: 8:30am - 5:30pm (lunch 1hour) / Mon - Fri

*Job Duties: This position is responsible for handling various customers' requests and inquiries and assists existing and new customers to meet their requests. This position assumes the managerial role when the Manager is unavailable.


CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Handles and resolves various complaints and claims from customers.
  • Coordinates inquiries and orders from customers with the Warehousing Operation Department.
  • Provides quotations to the customer and rates to other branches.
  • Tracks shipments and informs customers of shipment status.
  • Handles daily shipment arrangement such as scheduling a pickup and deliveries, preparing documents related to warehousing operation, sending prealert document, tracing the shipment status, providing inquiring information with entry document.
  • Updates shipment status, provides quotes, and prepares necessary information and documents of import shipment.
  • Issues invoices to customers according to mutually agreed quotations.
  • Maintains clients steady billing cycle; monitoring all shipment invoices status, informing outstanding invoices with backup documents when needed to customer.
  • Maintains selling rates and monitors/negotiates the costs/selling rates to achieve maximum profit with customer satisfaction.
OTHER & MISCELLANEOUS

  • Supervises the activities of subordinate employees.
  • Supports subordinate employees when necessary.
  • Assumes Managerial role when the Manager is unavailable.
  • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to the Manager for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with supervisors, coworkers and outside contacts.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area and organizing data and documents.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Manager.
*Qualifications: - Japanese and English Reqired (Business Level)

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and more than three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.

Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
