Duties:


  • You will manage software and systems functionality to ensure systems meet organizational requirements.
  • You will manage a computer network defense (CND) risk management program to ensure compliance with an organization's information technology (IT) policies.
  • You will manage software related projects to ensure accurate and timely completion of project goals and objectives.
  • You will plan, direct, and monitor information technology (IT) projects that involve the overall development, integration, information assurance coordination, status reporting, and stability of projectoriented work efforts.
  • You will develop standard code documentation for an information technology (IT) program.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travelrelated purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

In addition to experience demonstrating the four competencies above, for the GS-5 (or equivalent pay band) you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating 1. Minimal level technical proficiency in software development, data science, and/or data systems. 2. Some background with and ability to acquire software development and/or data system development support skillsets. 3. Minimal knowledge of technical systems, system design, software development, data science, and/or data structures. 4. Minimal level system/software development skillsets and/or data structures/science design and development skillset
