Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Install and maintain underground fiber optic cables using hydraulics blowing machines.
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as blowing machines, fusion splicers, and OTDRs.
  • Perform fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and testing activities.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare installation plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic network issues as needed.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience (X years) in underground fiber optic cable installation using hydraulics blowing machines.
  • Proficiency in fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and testing techniques.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic network design and installation standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift/move heavy equipment as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Pay:
$ $27.10 per hour

  • 8 hour shift
