- Build new Material Master numbers and update project systems component lists in SAP
- Reconcile receiving, quality and invoice issues
- Negotiate supplier pricing based upon purchasing variables such as frequency, quantities, capacity, etc
- Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships
- Negotiate with suppliers to acquire Pall preferred payment terms
- Find opportunities to e-bid material on Pall exchange to achieve site VAVE goal
- SAP experience preferred, ERP experience a must
- Tried experience in purchasing for at least 5 years
- Shown ability in production planning
- Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Shown proficiency with software tools such as Word, Excel and SAP, or other major ERP system
- Able to build and maintain supplier relationships and complete tasks on time
- Ability to deal directly with suppliers in all situations while maintaining a professional and cheerful demeanor
- Able to support the production process
- Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel within the organization
- Accounting skills and detailed understanding of business processes and business systems
