As Supply Chain Manager, you will have overallresponsibility for the site supply chain, including control of ethicalsourcing, planning and purchasing, whilst adhering to WMFTSs sustainability andOne Planet agendas.
This will mean working with supply chain colleagues withinWatson Marlow and Spirax Sarco to deliver world class supply chain initiatives.
Withreporting lines to the US Supply and Operations Director and WMFTS GlobalSupply Chain, the main remit for this role will be to facilitate and supportthe Supply Chain activities of the business, ensuring operational needs aremet, considering the price, quality and delivery whilst ensuring continuity ofsupply and best practice.
You will lead, enhance and develop all aspects of supply chain performance; collaborating with the senior leadership team, Global SC and other key stakeholders as requiredYou will work with suppliers and customers to support the business needs and create partnerships that allow the business to improve performance and growYou will ensure that your team is fully trained and follow the safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain, including use of forklifts and any other vehicles as appropriateYou will work with Group SC to develop and align supply chain strategies, measuring and analysing quality and delivery performance through KPIsYou will build effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers, overseeing and ensuring best practice is maintained throughout the supply chainYou will lead and improve supplier performance in terms of Service Level, Lead Time, Lot Size, cost, stock level, etc, and be responsible for annual stock counts during the financial yearYou will ensure through effective planning that the right levels of inventory are established, maintained, and flexed to meet current and future operational/project needsYou will develop the materials, stock control and handling processes to gain improvements in efficiency and controlYou will lead the internal movement of materials and finished goods, developing logistics capabilities to support continued growth and developmentYou will lead and deliver D365 FO (ERP) implementation and roll outYou will ensure that supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards and are compliant with internal policies including Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and the Group Management CodeYou will champion and have oversight for second sourcing strategies across the range of products supported by the US based regional manufacturing facility in DevensTo be successful in this role, youwill need:Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent is preferredYou have demonstrable experiencing working as a Supply Chain Manager or equivalent (e.g. Purchasing/Sourcing Manager) You will have significant experience in maintaining effective and productive relationships with external and internal customers and suppliersYou will have robust commercial and financial awareness with strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skillsYou will be analytical and have the ability to interpret data to provide strategic and tactical solutions.
