The new hire should be capable of proactive project management both internally with staff, across private and NGO partners, and directly with local, state and federal clients. The role will be responsible for final delivery of products that are on budget, on time, and meet or exceed client expectations. This role includes coordination with clients on deliverable timelines and facilitation of technical reviews with SMEs. The new hire will be responsible for adhering to internal and client protocols for periodic project reporting, continuous safety assessments, and assist with the mentoring of staff. The new staff member will work with other Stantec managers to assign staffing priorities, respond to RFPs, and evaluate business development opportunities. This hire should have a strong technical research background with the ability to summarize findings in a succinct and thorough manner which can be understood by other technically proficient individuals and, at times, laymen as well. Strong communications skills including PowerPoint presentations, report preparations, and technical emails are required. A general interest in resilience policy, climate change, hazard mitigation, emergency management and building science is preferred.
The new staff member will focus on projects that implement resilient engineering designs through policy whitepapers, trainings, and management of capacity & capabilities grants. This position includes intermittent opportunities for engineering design, as desired.
