- Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant wine and beverage program, inclusive of ordering, inventory, organization and cost management;
- Develop and execute wine and beverage training programs for all employees to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service;
- Support the management team with ensuring a state-of-the-art service delivery;
- Assist with daily operational duties, inclusive of reporting and opening/closing procedures;
- Coordinate restaurant front of house actions, being responsible for a smooth and effective collaboration across staff and exceeding guests' expectations;
- Lead by example to promote a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity and superior performance standards;
- Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to service team members to ensure ongoing development, engagement and motivation
- Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and procedures
- Greet and welcome guests in a professional manner and positive attitude
- Manage eventual clients' complaints exceeding their expectations
- Oversee and proactively deal with guest requests and complaints;
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- 3+ years of experience in the hospitality industry in a sommelier role.
- Previous experience in fine dining preferred
- Proven knowledge of food and beverage pairings;
- Solid understanding of pricing, budgets and cost management;
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Second language preferred.
- Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Professional grooming and appearance;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, people-management skills;
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes evenings, weekends and holidays;
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
