    Description

    Bar Manager at Bunker in West Loop

    Location: Bunker, 1515 W Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60607

    Compensation:

    • $13/hr + gratuity as bartender
    • $32/hr during bar manager admin shift

    Responsibilities:

    Work closely with the owner

    Serve a selection of cocktails, spirits, beer, seltzer, cider, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and food options in accordance with Heritage Hospitality's standards and recipes

    Maintain a complete understanding of all offerings

    Manage the flow of guests in the work area

    Check identification of guests to verify legal drinking age

    Enter items into Square point-of-sale system

    Handle cash & card transactions

    Ensure a clean & organized work area

    Monitor & stock bar inventory

    Open & close the work area

    Perform side work as needed

    Generate ideas for social media

    Handle daily emails & general communication

    Conduct weekly meetings, reports, financials, scheduling, ordering, stocking, and payroll

    Manage monthly inventory

    Meet with brands/distributors as needed

    Organize events and contribute to menu development

    Hire, train, and manage staff

    Perform various other responsibilities as needed

    Requirements:

    Hospitality-driven mindset with a welcoming disposition

    At least 3 years of experience working as a bar manager or lead bartender in a cocktail-focused environment

    Understanding of cocktails, spirits, beer, seltzer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic categories

    Able to comfortably be on feet for the duration of the shift

    Able to reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably

    Strong communication, reliability, honesty, and integrity

    Comfortable working solo & as part of a team

    Must be at least 21 years of age

    Valid BASSET & Food Handler certification

    Able to communicate and write in English (Spanish is a plus)

    Availability:

    40+ hours

    Potential to pick up shifts
