    Job Description

    The Configuration Management (CM) Specialist shall be responsible for configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.

    The CM Specialist shall also work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.

    They shall provide change management and product configuration management guidance.

    The CM Specialist shall prepare, review, analyze, and assess, and make recommendations for Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and technical directives with supporting rationale.

    Job Requirements

    Requirements:
    Coordinate processes to assign tracking numbers/records for any new request (Engineering Change Requests, Software Change Notices, Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Procedures, Test Procedures, Software items, Drawings, Supplemental Training Guides, etc.)
    Update records within iPDM
    Initiate reviews for technical, quality, and management signatures for document approval
    Review documents submitted for approval to ensure that they are accurate and comply with the associated format requirements
    Verify comment adjudication before approval, work with technical team and technical writers as necessary to resolve conflicts or issues
    Issue controlled copies of documents, ensuring controlled document copies are tracked and returned when the document is superseded
    Conduct visual audits of controlled documentation
    Provide support during audits on CM processes
    Develop process guide documentation
    Provide formal and informal training, assisting iPDM users on CM processes/workflow as required
    Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) experience preferred
    Bachelor's level degree in any field
    US Citizen with Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

    Other:
    OT – possible but not anticipated.
    Travel – possible but not anticipated.
    Work location – on site at NSWC Crane or Bloomington.
    Telework – No.
