    Description

    We're Hiring a Field Service Mechanics due to company growth

    Bring your excellent mechanical aptitude to service and repair forklifts, marina lifts and other heavy equipment for our customers on the road and at their place of business.

    Qualifications and Expectations:

    -Previous experience working with diesel, electric and propane-powered forklifts

    -Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and their engines

    -Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery and systems

    -Ability to troubleshoot issues and solve complex problems

    -Knowledge and ability to diagnose hydraulic circuits and fuel and cooling systems

    -Understanding of attachments such as masts, booms, etc.

    -Maintain service truck supplies and tools

    -Work/manage workloads independently and display daily communication with Service Manager

    -Consistent and reliable - strong attention to detail

    -Skilled in safe, effective and appropriate equipment use

    -Ability to wear and used appropriate safety gear

    -Must have clean driving record and valid driver's license. Service truck provided.

    -Ability to travel up to 6 hour radius from home. Reimbursement for overnight stays if necessary. Travel radius will be less as we continue to grow and hire.

    -2 years of heavy equipment operation preferred

    -2 years of forklift repair or heavy equipment repair experience preferred

    Benefits:

    Pay based on experience: $30-45/per hour - full time work week

    -Company will supply service truck and specialty tools; tech must supply personal hand tools

    Forklift Exchange, Inc is a family-owned company for over 40 years. Hoistlift of Florida and Specialized Lift Services are divisions of Forklift Exchange, Inc. Marty Flaska, owner/founder, started and sold the Hoist Liftruck brand to Toyota in April 2019. Our company's focus is on buying and selling used material handling forklifts, marina boat lifts, and construction equipment nationwide, along with revamping our big truck service and rental business in our facilities.

    The company's expertise in the wholesale of material handling equipment and high-capacity forklifts spans across a wide array of lines, to include: Hoist, Toyota, Kalmar, Taylor and more.

    Our service jobs range from a minor cylinder repair to a complete machine refurbishment. By having a rental fleet in-shop, we are able to provide our customers needing extensive repairs with loaner trucks. We pride ourselves on having fully-trained technicians on hand 24/7, turning jobs around within 15 days or less. Additionally, we offer remote service throughout the U.S.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $ $45.00 per hour
