    Job Title: Software Engineer at TEKsystems



    • Guide and mentor engineering team(s) in all aspects of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Develop and maintain software to support a streaming data platform for a leading healthcare CRM product
    • Contribute to software projects using Python, Scala, NodeJS, and SQL
    • Work with various data stores including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and real-time messaging queue systems
    • Analyze healthcare and marketing data sets using SQL
    • Refactor and optimize existing code base for efficiency and performance
    • Assist the technical support team as needed
    • Ensure data pipelines are efficient and scalable
    • Ensure platform APIs meet end users' needs
    • Collaborate within a small team to design creative solutions
    • Follow agile software development methodologies

    Skills:

    • Python, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, TDD, automated testing, Scala

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a lead or management role
    • Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies
    • Experience with SQL and Python
    • Familiarity with scripting languages
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services
    • Knowledge of TDD, automated testing, and scalability
    • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
    • Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues
    • Ability to translate ideas into technical designs
    • Experience in technical design sessions
