    Description

    Summary

    This job listing is part of the Office of Facilities and Administrative Services, specifically the Space and Alterations Branch. The role involves serving as an Engineer/Architect, with responsibilities including reviewing designs, conducting studies and surveys, analyzing technical aspects, and being involved in various stages of construction, modification, and troubleshooting for facility improvements.

    This Opportunity is Suitable for Individuals Who:

    Duties

    • Assist Space Management Specialists in planning and optimizing alteration projects to make the best use of available space.
    • Support move planning and services related to space management within the Branch.
    • Respond to customer service inquiries via phone or email.
    • Manage records and filing systems for projects and operations.
    • Create and edit documents using MS-Office and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Handle special projects that require specialized expertise in managing real-property assets and financial planning.
    • Track projects and maintain documentation.

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment

    • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
    • Candidates must pass a background investigation.
    • Direct Deposit of pay is mandatory.
    • Selective Service registration is required for male applicants, unless exempt.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

    For the GS-0801 Engineering Series, applicants must meet specific education criteria which include specialized engineering courses and/or relevant experience. Similarly, for the GS-0808 Professional Architecture Series, specific education and experience requirements must be met for consideration.
