Duties Description


As a Treatment Unit Clerk, you would work on a ward or unit of a psychiatric center and be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and monitoring of a variety of clerical records and reports related to the activities of employees and patients in the assigned work area.

You would also be required to respond to routine inquiries regarding the functions/programs of the unit or treatment service from visitors or employees and patients from other areas of the facility.

Responsibilities may also include ordering and maintaining an inventory of unit supplies and performing miscellaneous clerical duties necessary for the efficient operation of the assigned work area.

Depending on the organization of the facility, you might have responsibility for performing these functions for a building, treatment unit, service ward, or group of wards.

In all cases, you would be assigned to work in patient areas.

Additional Comments:
This position is eligible for the Downstate Adjustment of $3,400.
Salary reflects starting salary for grade 6 to ending salary of grade 7.
