    Job DescriptionPower Press Operator Job Description

    We are currently seeking a skilled Power Press Operator to join our team at our facility in North Branford, CT, As a Power Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining stamping press machines to produce high-quality parts for our production runs.

    Responsibilities:

    Set up and operate progressive power press machines from 5-150 tons including ancillary equipment.

    • Ability to retrieve and load material.
    • Utilize various press machines.
    • Ability to verify quality or parts with gauges and measuring equipment.
    • Ensure that all paperwork including labeling, quality documents are accurate and completed.
    • Ensure that all machine maintenance issues are met.
    • Responsible for any packaging related to job, bins containers etc.
    • Data Entry into ERP system.
    • Be able to carry out directions from supervisor or management.
    • Be able to stand or sit for long lengths of time. Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds.
    • Work as a team with fellow operators.
    • Ability to use die protection.
    • Keep work area neat and organized.
    • Self- motivating. Try to trouble shoot obstacles on own.
    • Make suggestions to management on ways to increase efficiency.
    Qualifications:
    • Experience with Stamping Press machines
    • Shop math skills
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Forklift licensed
    • High School diploma or GED
    • Knowledge of machine setups for production runs
    • Experience with machine safety inspections

    You should be proficient in:

    • Machine Setups for Production Runs
    • Shop Math Skills
    • Blueprint Reading
    • Forklift Licensed
    • High School / GED
    • Machine Safety Inspections

    Machines & technologies you'll use:

    • Stamping Press (Minster)
    • Forklifts
    • Measurement Gauges

    Salary info:

    $20 - $23 / hr
