Description

We are seeking a Press Machine Operator for a metal stamping manufacturing company in Thomaston, CT. This is a 1st shift, full time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be someone who has some manufacturing experience (preferably as a manual machine operator). Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, dealing with heavy machinery.

salary:
$42,000 - $60,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 4 PMeducation: No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Sets up and operates presses including sub-assembly machines according to instructions, specifications, and standards. Reviews and adheres to policies, work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed. Obtain and position material and start strips. Prepares fixtures and feeding devices, starts machine, and engages feed. Observes each machine to verify quality performance. Verifies measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers, and micrometers are in proper working order. Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machines.
