    Primary Role
    • Serve as the primary liaison between American Water and key non-residential clients from commercial, industrial, public authority, and sales for resale sectors.

    • Cultivate and nurture positive relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are promptly addressed.

    • Establish and uphold relationships with Major Account clients.

    • Act as a positive representative for the company, balancing customer interests, regulatory requirements, and corporate objectives.

    • Deliver top-notch service to clients, fostering support and advocacy for the company.

    • Be the initial point of contact for customer inquiries related to water and the water industry.

    Key Accountabilities:
    • Forge and take ownership of relationships with major clients through consistent, direct engagement, including regular in-person meetings (annual visits providing comprehensive activity reports and future water demand projections).

    • Conduct on-site visits and facility tours, maintain proactive communication via emails/newsletters, and provide necessary phone support.

    • Spot strategic collaboration opportunities with clients on significant water infrastructure projects like facility expansions, joint main replacement efforts, water conservation projects, geothermal initiatives, etc.

    • Represent the organization in community and business associations, participating in meetings, presenting company information, and backing initiatives in line with corporate goals.

    • Ensure operational leaders and field teams are briefed on major accounts, their locations, and any operational matters concerning significant clients like main breaks, planned outages, system flushes, water chemistry changes, etc., through the major account manager.
