- This position will report to the: AG Fertilizer Manager
- Location: Bakersfield, CA

- Blend fertilizers to meet recommendations
- Load and dispatch trucks
- Perform other duties as necessary to assist AG.
- Some travel required to multi-site locations.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Provide maintenance support
- Prepare and deliver blending materials
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid California Driver's License
- Must have knowledge of and be able to use basic hand tools.
- Must be able to speak and communicate in English.
- Must have good organizational skills and communication skills.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office products preferred.
- Knowledge of Farming practices preferred.
- 2+ years of previous experience in an agricultural production environment
- Work will be conducted in office, facility and farm areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Environmental exposure- seasonal outdoor temperatures.
- Must work with PPE in dusty and liquid chemicals environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Ag Fertilizer Plant Operator/Mechanic will be responsible for daily operations of the conventional and organic fertilizer plants and daily maintenance and repairs. The operator/Mechanic will ensure all equipment is properly maintained to minimize unexpected down time, and ensure all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
