    Position Title:

    Quality Control InternReports to: ManagerDepartment: Quality ControlClassification: Internship, Non-ExemptPay: $20-21The CompanyStanislaus Food Products is a nationally recognized, family-owned company known for crafting the finest Italian-style tomatoes and sauces for top-quality Italian restaurants and pizzerias.

    Our facility is 24/7, so availability for overtime is a requirement.

    In addition, this role will be expected to work 7 days a week throughout the season to support the plant objectives.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn different monitoring processes that ensure food safety and product quality.

    You will work with the Quality Control Manager to better understand the overall functions of the department.

    This position will be primarily responsible for:

    working under QA and QC management guidance to ensure compliance.inspecting and studying product to monitor and develop centerlines.monitoring the production process and perform routine food safety and quality assurance (FSQA), and/or quality control checks in accordance with the food safety and quality programs at the manufacturing site.

    Ensuring the process is in control and the product meets the standards set by the Company.learning and ensuring compliance to food safety systems through monitoring of process and documentation.learning and ensuring compliance to QC process controls through monitoring and documentation.monitoring processes and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).quality improvement projects and studies in the direction of quality control duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university.
    Proficient on computers, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    Strong organization skills and legible handwriting.
    Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
    Ability to prioritize tasks and meet outlined timeframes for monitoring checks.
    Ability to learn how to place non-conforming products or equipment on hold.
    Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
    Must be willing to rotate into various departments with varying QC related job duties as needed.
    Reliable in attendance for work daily and ready to work on-time to perform the duties of the position.
    Must be able to work from July - end of September.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Data analysis experience

    Physical Requirements:
    Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.


    Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 25% or less sitting, 50% or less walking, and 50% or more standing.

    The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in a cannery environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
