**Warehouse Assistant Manager - General Construction/Restoration**
Warehouse Long Island, New York Minimum Experience **Experienced** RENU Milburn (RM) is a third-generation operation founded in 1959 originally as a retail and commercial flooring business. Throughout 60 years, business has diversified and transformed as we cultivated a leading and innovative full-service General Contracting, Restoration and Construction Management firm, RENU Contracting Restoration. Servicing clients throughout the Long Island, New York tri-state region our dedication to our customers is the foundation of what allowed these two companies to stand together as one.
We are currently seeking to hire a Warehouse Assistant Manager for our Copiague NY location. The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the receiving, picking/packing, and inventory management for the Renu General Construction and Restoration Division.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Construction and Restoration materials located in the warehouse.
Assume Warehouse Management responsibilities when the Director of Warehouse is not in house.
Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures with regard to picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Conduct physical counts of inventory and manage inventory and stock levels.
Communicate with the procurement team regarding inventory/quality issues.
Properly communicate with Director of Warehouse, Division Managers, Equipment Manager, and Port Chester Warehouse to ensure a seamless operations.
Work with Equipment Manager to always ensure that Restoration equipment is fully prepared for all projects and that restoration air scrubbers and fans are clearly separated and labeled from construction air scrubbers and fans.
Be sure to communicate any issues or problems with materials for upcoming jobs on a timely basis with all PMs, Logistics, Sales and Admin Assistants.
Ensure pick tickets are properly pulled, staged, and prepared in a timely manner.
Receive returned material from jobsites and follow return or rejection procedures.
Use computer to update systems with appropriate data.
Safely operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to select the correct products from warehouse racking.
Train and Mentor staff on appropriate procedures.
Preserve safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
Carefully inspecting materials when received
Ensure consistent bar coding of all inventory and bin locations.
Support all field personnel and projects.
Proper loading of material and equipment on trucks/vans to coordinate with schedule and route of each truck.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong Leadership skills required.
Must be computer literate.
Understanding of RFMS and SiteSense systems preferred.
Ideal candidate will be extremely organized.
OSHA Forklift certification
2+ years of supervisory and/or management experience
Dependable and Reliable
Data entry and computer skills may be required
Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position
Able to work in multi-temperature environments
