    They work closely with other department heads to ensure the smooth running of the company as a whole. They are also responsible for motivating and managing their team, and ensuring that targets are met.
    Department Head Job ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the daily operations of the department.
    Set goals and objectives for the department and ensure they are met.
    Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental efficiency.
    Supervise and motivate department staff, resolve conflicts and performance issues as needed.
    Prepare reports on departmental activity and submit to upper management.

    Monitor budget for the department and develop costsaving initiatives where necessaryObjectivesTo develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in alignment with the companys strategic planTo oversee the daily operations of the department and ensure that all activities are carried out in a smooth and efficient mannerTo monitor departmental performance and take corrective action where necessary to improve productivity and achieve desired resultsTo develop and manage the departmental budgetTo liaise with other departments within the company to ensure effective communication and cooperationTo represent the department at various meetings and forums as requiredTo provide leadership and guidance to departmental staffDepartment Head Job Skills & Qualifications NeededRequires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with several years of experience leading and managing a team.

    Must be able to effectively communicate with other members of senior management and have strong problem solving skills.
    Must have 3-5 years tenure minimum.

    Must have Emergency Service related experienceValid Drivers License5+ years of management experienceAt least 3-5 year of restoration industry experienceIICRC certificationsExperience in building a strong team with tangible leadership skillsStrong process and results driven attitudeAbility to multitask and to remain detail orientatedMust be knowledgeable in relevant computer applicationsSkills/Physical Demands/CompetenciesAbility to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistanceAbility to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objectsAbility to work with/around cleaning agentsAbility to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable lawEach SERVPRO Franchise is Independently Owned and Operated.
