Working closely with the Business Unit Leadership, the Staff Program Manager Lead works with a team of highly skilled Program Managers supporting the efforts from the proposal phase, through design, transition to production, and fielding of our Turreted Weapon Systems, all in support of equipping those who defend freedom.
Heres what youll be working on day to day:Lead, develop, and mentor 2-6 Program ManagersOversee Development and Production TWS programsCoordinate with the PM team to forecast and document the required personnel needs (engineering, supply chain, technicians, etc.) for each programWork with the PM team to ensure that the contractual requirements for hardware, software, delivery, etc., are met through planning, monitoring, and expeditingInterface with Moogs TWS Industry and USG customer base concerning program status, issue resolution, new business, etc.
Assist the PM team with the generation of program-specific master schedules for production, engineering, etc., through coordination and collaboration with customers, as requiredMonitor overall TWS programs costs, schedules, task completions and deliveries for performance against schedules and work with the team to take appropriate actionLead the efforts to update and report individual program status, major events, issues, etc.
, to senior leaders inside and outside of the organization, including information concerning status of current programs, leads on new business, trends in hardware issues, and program pricingAs a member of the TWS leadership team, support all aspects of new business proposal development including providing inputs to Sales Managers for development of bookings and Sales ForecastsHeres what youll need to bring with you:Bachelors degree in a technical field (preferably engineering), and a minimum of ten years of program related work experience; or equivalent experienceMust be familiar with methods, procedures and techniques used in quality and material control systemsMust have excellent listening, collaboration, and persuasive skills to both understand, explain, and expedite when necessaryStrong interpersonal skills are a must to handle internal and external customers in a positive manner regarding information impacting their programsMust have excellent writing skills for customer and Moog communications as well as proposal workAbility to organize and influence people, as well as an outstanding ability to communicate and facilitate with a highly collaborative and consensus driven leadership approachProven knowledge and experience with formal project management, including use of project management toolsEarned Value Management experience, preferred Understanding of the technology involved with Turret Weapon Systems and military ground-mobile systems, highly preferredAbility to access US export-controlled information (ITAR)Ability to obtain a US security clearanceMoog Inc.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.Other rewards may include annual profit-sharing bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
