    Job Description

    The Specialty Clinic Manager manages the day to day operations of the specialty clinics at Osceola Medical Center. The manager is responsible for effective and efficient clinic operations for assigned clinic(s) as well as effective relationship with surgical services to complement clinic.

    Typical Schedule:

    Monday thru Friday, daytime hours

    Qualifications

    • Degree in related field, required. Bachelors degree in healthcare related field, preferred.
    • 3 years of leadership experience in clinical setting, preferred.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Establishing collaborative relationships with specialists.
    • Collaborating with other department leaders to establish and implement common standards and achieve organizational goals and objectives.
    • Coordinating coverage and work flow to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
    • Ensuring optimization of schedules and timely access for specialty appointments.
    • Demonstrating leadership qualities and critical thinking through self-direction, initiative, effective interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills.
    • Providing excellent customer service while maximizing clinical revenue through efficient, effective and compliant procedures.
    • Supervision of clinical staff to ensure high quality, patient centered care is delivered efficiently and effectively at all times.
    • Recruiting, hiring and retaining clinical staff.
    • Developing orientation training plan and annual competencies as related to specialty clinics.
    • Performing annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
    • Preparing and monitoring department budget, purchasing equipment and supplies and ensuring department is operational and functional.
    • Monitoring patient volumes, quality of care, and performance of staff to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensuring project/department goals are met and adheres to department budget.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Demonstrates OMC's behavioral standards and values in daily work.
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and history of building strong working relationships.
    • Experience leading and partnering with teams to make improvements, preferably in a healthcare setting.
    • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to learn new computer applications.
    • Excellent communication skills.
