- Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing, required, bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred.
- State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain, required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification, required.
- Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain, required.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital nursing experience, required.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervision/leadership experience, preferred.
- Demonstrating leadership through supervision, facilitation, and coordination of clinical care.
- Collaborating with nursing leadership in organizational planning, innovations, and evaluation of initiatives.
- Contributing to the professional development of staff, students, and colleagues in an environment of mutual respect and understanding.
- Participating as a member of the team to achieve business goals.
- Demonstrating standards of a Professional Nurse who practices according to the OMC Behavioral Standards.
- Recruiting, welcoming and encouraging new employees to be successful, by creating a friendly and supportive environment that promotes growth and learning in order to retain and acclimate colleagues to the OMC culture.
- Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments.
- Ability to educate staff.
- Ability to provide counseling and emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual.
- Ability to provide support to the members of the care team (teamwork).
- Must possess initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.
