- Assist SLPs in the implementation of comprehensive treatment plans for patients of various ages and disorders.
- Provide direct therapy under the supervision of an SLP, adhering to treatment plans and documenting patient responses.
- Prepare materials and set up equipment necessary for patient treatment.
- Educate patients and families on the therapy process and strategies for effective communication and swallowing.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on patient status and progress.
- Associates degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or related field for SLPAs; Masters degree required for SLPs.
- Appropriate state licensure or certification as required for SLPA or CCC-SLP credential for SLPs.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively handle tasks and interact with patients and staff.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
