- Expand ICC's presence on the ground by recruiting, hiring, and managing field staff, country directors, and representatives following the planned strategy.
- Provide leadership to the international team in the MENA region, inspiring with vision, mission, and values as a servant leader.
- Evaluate performance against annual goals for the regional team and ensure conditions fostering motivated and effective staff.
- Develop expertise on persecution in the region, collaboratively plan and execute strategies and budgets, and launch new initiatives under the VP's guidance.
- Monitor persecution in the region, write news, press releases, stories, and articles, and participate in media interviews to raise awareness of Christian persecution.
- Provide media content to the Comms team for publications when necessary.
- Travel to the region 3-4 times a year to monitor persecution, identify expansion opportunities, meet victims, and oversee projects.
- Create videos and articles showcasing project impact and progress, and prepare reports for internal and partner requirements.
- Establish partnerships and networks in the region, maintain relationships to support programs, and collaborate with the advocacy team for initiatives and campaigns.
- Work with the regional advocacy manager on reports, events, and advocacy efforts, positioning ICC as a leader on persecution in the region.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience with cross-cultural leadership in the Middle East and North Africa.
- Preferred understanding of Arabic or French.
- Preferably 2+ years living or working in the Middle East.
- 5-10+ years of international ministry and management experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong Christian background.
- Effective written and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Passion for creating positive change.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and hard work.

OUR NEED:
We are currently seeking a Regional Director ideally based in the Middle East and North Africa Region or with extensive experience in the area. This role involves managing humanitarian aid projects to assist persecuted Christian communities in the MENA region. Responsibilities include international ministry, project management, and creative writing. The position reports to the VP of Assistance and is a full-time role, either remote or at our corporate offices in Silver Spring, MD.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position involves working closely with victims of Christian persecution in the Middle East and North Africa region, reporting on news, helping attack victims, spreading the gospel, and building networks in key surrounding countries. The Regional Director focuses on countries within the MENA region, collaborating with teams to provide humanitarian aid in the region. The role reports to the Vice President of Assistance and is full-time.
