- Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections activities to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve payment disputes.
- Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly aging reports to track overdue accounts and identify delinquent customers.
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, or other irregularities and take appropriate actions.
- Process credit card payments, checks, and other forms of payment received from customers.
- Assist with month-end close activities and reconciling accounts.
- Provide support for audits by gathering necessary documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions and communications.
- Serve as a back to the Treasury team as needed to process payments, setting up users etc.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required.
- Proven experience working as an accounts receivable specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Experience with collections and resolving payment disputes preferred.
- Familiarity with credit and collection laws and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
