Notably, Receiving hosts the state's premier burn center and possesses the distinguished status of being one of just 43 nationwide. The hospital's offerings include the leading 24/7 hyperbaric oxygen program in Michigan, the first certified primary stroke center in Metro Detroit, and the highly esteemed DMC Rosa Parks Geriatric Center of Excellence.
Job Overview
The role involves meticulous planning and preparation of non-patient meals for various occasions. You will contribute insights towards policy formation from a professional, technical, or procedural standpoint. Responsibilities also include providing feedback for procedure/protocol development, ensuring adherence, and offering interpretations as required. Keeping a close eye on food production and service quality to uphold departmental standards will be a key task. Additionally, you may be involved in assessing performance and guiding personnel actions. Contributing to the establishment of short-term, daily, and/or monthly objectives aligned with overarching organizational goals, as well as tracking unit/area performance data, is part of the role.
Requirements:Essential Criteria

1. High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Preferably an Associates Degree (or equivalent) in a related field like food production or nutrition.
3. Minimum of two years' experience in food service, preferably within a healthcare facility or public setup.
Key Skills
1. Strong analytical skills for data gathering and interpretation, problem identification, and compliance assurance.
2. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Leadership qualities with decision-making proficiency, coaching skills, and the capacity to inspire and collaborate.
