    Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Process Technician (Direct Hire)JOB SUMMARY:
    Ensures correct process set-up for injection molding machines that leads to first time quality, improvement in mean time between failure and reduction in scrap.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Upholds operational priorities of safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Maintains integrity of existing production processes and monitors critical process variables daily.
    • Works with data, analytical tools, and problem-solving methods to evaluate the molding process and resolve production and quality problems.
    • Assists the Process Engineer with process development activities.
    • Suggests possible process/tool improvements that promote cycle time reduction, SMED principles and other productivity enhancements.
    • Sets up, calibrates, and configures robots and other auxiliary equipment.
    • Initiates business cases for new capital equipment or more cost-effective processing methods.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
    • High level of interpersonal skills to coach team members.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding, assembly, part design, and tooling.
    • Hands-on experience with molding hygroscopic and non-hygroscopic resins.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
    • Standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and walking on a cement floor daily.
    • Ability to visually inspect parts once per hour with accuracy.
