Job Store Staffing has partnered with a higher education institution to recruit for a Human Resource Specialist. The HR Specialist will be performing general HR duties to support a busy emergency medicine department.

Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment responding to 100s of emails per day regarding employee leave requests and questions.

The Human Resource Specialist will be a subject matter expert in regards to policies and procedures.

The Human Resource Specialist will have a hybrid schedule after training with a few days onsite and a few working remotely.

This will be a temporary-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate and will report to the Business Services Manager.

*Pay: * $28-31/hr

*Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

*Job duties:

Manage all day-to-day HR administration tasks; ensuring that all employee and HR records are accurate and up to date.
Manage payroll functions; including but not limited to:
Payroll entries for hourly employees.
Leave entries and calculations.
Oversight of FTE and allocation changes.
Serve as a subject matter expert on HR policies and procedures including Colorado FAMLI law.
Handle any additional tasks as needed and be willing to jump in wherever needed.

Minimum requirements:

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, human resources, or other closely related field.
At least two (2) years of professional, progressively responsible experience in human resources.
Strong data entry and intermediate Excel skills.
Excellent time management and strong organization skills.
Critical thinking skills.
