Description
Scope:
The primary purpose of the Controller is to assist with all financial elements of the business. The Controller will supervise the accounting department, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, tax preparation, auditing, and daily financial operations. The Controller will assist with aligning support processes to meet and exceed KPIs while managing people and teams to perform their best. The Controller will ensure accounting practices are in compliance with Federal, State regulations and guidelines.
The position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and assist in reporting results to the Executive Committee and the Partners.
Duties:
•Oversee the operations of the accounting department encompassing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and compliance.
•Create, analyze and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring financial information has been recorded accurately.
•Oversee and provide back up for a 3-person accounting department.
•Perform cost accounting, financial forecasting/budgeting and reconciliation of all internal accounts.
•Work with outside CPAs to complete financial statements, tax returns and audits.
•Work hand-in-hand with Director of Revenue Cycle to develop analytics for profitability, denial trends and patient-level estimates.
•Prepare and interpret weekly and monthly financial and statistical reports.
•Establish appropriate goals and benchmarks in order to effectively measure performance and ensures that department milestones are met.
•Perform labor management analytics.
