Job Summary:


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients.


Duties:


  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up living areas
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and other outings
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client care activities

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting is preferred
  • Must have AHA BLS
  • Experience working with children is a plus
  • Knowledge of basic life support techniques is desirable
  • Ability to lift and transfer clients safely and with proper body mechanics
  • Familiarity with phlebotomy procedures is an asset
  • Understanding of medical records management, including electronic health record systems like Epic, is beneficial
  • Flexibility to work in various settings, such as hospitals or private residences
