- Ensure that shift personnel maintain high standards of shop floor organization and plant cleanliness.
- Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Manage the budget for the functional area.
- Generate shift, daily, and weekly reports on plant performance.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet production needs.
- Provide safety training and maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits.
- Coach, mentor, and review employee performance.
- Facilitate growth through team meetings, individual sessions, and training opportunities.
- Efficiently manage equipment, facilities, employees, and materials.
- Lead a team of production supervisors and hourly employees during off shifts.
- Foster a culture of excellence and adherence to GMP and regulatory standards.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and equipment for compliance and efficiency.
- Ensure product quality meets or exceeds standards.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
- Investigate accidents or safety violations and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on production metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify process improvement opportunities.
- Develop strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in operational leadership roles with teams of 20+ direct and indirect reports.
- Previous experience in food and/or beverage manufacturing/warehousing is preferred.
- Familiarity with aseptic and ESL (Extended Shelf Life) manufacturing is advantageous.
- Proficiency in working with automated machinery.
- Ability to work night shift and can adapt to changing schedules.
